Minimize, maximize and close buttons not appearing in Steam [SOLVED]

I had BSOD yesterday after messing around with a couple of Razer mice. Ever since then, as the title says, steam windows have no minimize, maximize or close buttons. Furthermore, neither my picture in the bottom right, nor any of my friends pictures in the friends list have the colored portrait indicating online status. I've restarted several times..
Any ideas?

I did not ever crash or change anything and my minimize, maximize, and close buttons have also disappeared from steam windows. It also persists over restarts. It started happening a couple days ago.

It may be interesting to note that the buttons are still "there". ie, if I click the blank spot where the close button should be it does close.

For reference, I am using Windows 7. Are you?

Indeed, the invisible buttons did work, and I'm also on Windows 7

I had the same issue, also windows 7. Sureley this means something they are planning to push out to live isn't working correctly for win7. They should pay attention to this thread! :D

Having Windows 10 here with a 4k Screen and all Button icons are messed up or not showing at all. See

I have the last update of Steam of today that mentions the fix for windows 7.
