steam uninstalled games don't free up space
i recentely deleted the steam folder from program files x86 so i could reinstall and move somewhere else but now i noticed i have very little space can somebody please help?

You didn't need to do that, you can move Steam games from one drive to another using the options menu.

I suggest you try an app like Tree Size free - https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/

It will tell you exactly how much space each directory takes on your HDD.

still don't solve the fact that all the games that got uninstalled are still taking up my hard drive space

still don't solve the fact that all the games that got uninstalled are still taking up my hard drive space

Did you empty the recycle bin?

Are they? Have you checked how much space the game folder now takes?

i had some huge games like final fantasy 15 that took up 70GB worth of space and i never got it back along with some other huge games around 30GB. and yes i did empty the recycle bin

right now the steam folder takes up 104GB

Anything in the Steamapps folder is game data - you can delete that. If it doesnt return your space, your games were installed elsewhere.

there is nowhere else they can be. they have been uninsatlled but are somehow still taking up space. i searched everywhere on my pc and can't find them.

Use TreeSize (can get that from the Windows store) to see what's actually using up the space. Also, you can always manually delete the remaining game folder if it takes up space worth mentioning.
