Could this PC run Forza Horizon 3?

Yes, I know its not a steam game, but i'm just wondering since I don't wanna buy a xbone for this game.

CPU: AMD A12 9800 @ 3.9GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti 2GB
RAM: 16GB
Space: 2TB
OS: Windows 10 Home

Please tell me how well it would run, I am aiming for at least 30fps on Med 1080p

I agree. It's not even a particularly good racing game, you're better off saving your money and building a better PC when you can.

If you want a racer for PC, try Project CARS 2 once it comes on Sale. It's a much better game, and it'll run on virtually anything.

And the good thing is, he could try the pcars demo before 👍
And/or assetto corsa if op owns a decent wheel, but no demo available.

The TC asked about FH3 probably becuz he wanted the open-world casualness with a sh*t ton of car skins. Project Cars, Assetto Corsa and the like are racing sims and very different.

Indeed. And it >might< just run on a 750Ti. Not very well, but it might work.

Project Cars 2 is what I personally would define as great optimization. It looks absolutely gorgeous at Ultra, and yet it runs smoothely at those settings even on middling hardware. And the entry-point is super low, even a 1060 3GB can run it reasonably well.

I understand that, but if there was a worthy alternative I would've offered it. Unfortunately there aren't many good Open-World racers like that on PC. Burnout Paradise would be a great choice, but it's nearly ten years old and doesn't allow customisation or upgrades.

No because you need a 1080 to play at playable framerates makes it badly optimized

And it is. I've played FH3 on a 1080 myself, at a much higher resolution, and it suffered badly from frame-drops and other screwiness. Normally I'd expect 120-ish FPS from my setup at 1440P, but I was getting 50-80 in FH3 with drops past 20 in some areas. I would characterize that as bad optimization.

But again you expect a potato card should able to run all games at 60 frames?

As would anyone if i get under 60fps at 1440p games getting refunded and a bad review been a trend lately of games relasing in miserable states in the oh well patch it after mindset just not putting up with it anymore

Thankfully there have also been some standouts. Project Cars 2 was a nice surprise, runs like butter at 1440P. And Far Cry 5 was surprisingly solid as well. Admittedly I haven't tested it first-hand, but another tech-savvy friend was running at Ultra on a 1060 6GB and getting a perfect 60 FPS at 1080P.

I have far cry on uplay and at 1800p ultra i keep above 60fps pretty much at all times 1440p is even better but on the other hand in kingdom come i would drop under 30fps racing games generally run better so anything under 60fps is just unacceptable

Might not possible due to GTX 750. At time Xbox One S is only $250 while it is possible to get GTX 1060 for $260. It should be good for this game.

i've also seen benchmarks online with people using a core i3 and a 750 ti and it runs at playable fps.
