Game shortcuts not appearing
Hi! Yesterday, I finished my new PC [ca.pcpartpicker.com]. I managed to set Windows 10, Steam, etc. up and even played The Long Dark (amazing game btw), though, soon, I realized that my game shortcut hadn't appeared. I installed another game to test, same result. I tried right-clicking the game's name in the Library and clicking "Create Desktop Shortcut", only to get a message saying "Could not create shortcut. A shortcut to this game is already probably on the desktop". I have indeed recently transferred a few things, including Desktop folder and others, to my HDD. Please help and, of course, feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Well you could do this following. Go to each game's installation folder, find the exe, right click > send to > desktop (create shortcut). Or, right click > create shortcut and move it manualy to desktop.

Yeah, I knew I could do that but... I have about 50 games, and, ya know, it’d be long...

Clear download cache then go to downloads settings, Library Folder, right click on your default folder and repair. After it finishes try creating shortcuts again.

Hi, follow these instructions here:
1- Windows+R and then type or paste the following command on the "Run" window:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair

2- Press enter and wait. It should work.
