you say you do what you want ,
shouldnt your thread really be
"i'm 16 and i do what i want , rules dont apply to me "
everything you posted in this post here , has nothing to do with anything ,
your original post was
i'm 16 , i'm honest , why cant i look at 18+ content ?
the answer is so obvious , your 16 .
but you can and do , you do as you want , rules dont apply to you .
so why the post ?
Steam won't 'remember' your age, what you write on your profile is meaningless to the moment you press onto the store page for a game.
In my country, the PEGI rating of a game (15, 18) is a LEGAL thing, you are legally not allowed to sell items to people under the age the game is stating. In Sweden they don't have the legal side of it, but it is still a recommendation.
The age gate is there to remove any blame to Valve for people accessing/purchasing their items, the same way that you could technically show fake ID in a real shop.
It's not there to get you to lie, it's there to get you to tell the truth when the material is not accessible for someone your age. That's the end result of the gate itself.
There isn't any way to get your REAL age verified, this is the only way that they can not get sued to high heaven as people state they are over the age they need to be.
you chose to lie . that's you .
and you dont see that ,
you're not being encouraged to lie , you're choosing to .
remember , you do what you want , rules dont apply to you .
dont expect rules to be changed to suit your wants ,
you get to chose to follow rules or break them , when you get older you'll understand what i'm saying .
right now you dont want to be responsible for your choices .
steam doesnt set the games age restriction , that's ,what's it called the esrb ,
steam doesnt care what you choose to do , steam isnt your mom , they are required to put up the age barrier ,
it's your choice to be honest or not .
your a minor , it's your parents choice to restrict your account content
see it's all on you in the end
Wallet cards are only a means to buy stuff in store and on the market, just like a credit card, paypal or cash in a physical store. They have nothing to do with age restrictions on games.
