Steam Mobile Guard and Personal Computer
Hey there, so I've a simple problem which actually annoys me a lot sometimes.I own a laptop, and I'm using my Steam account on it.Sometimes my brother wants to play his own games on his own account so logs out from my account and connects to his own one.Once he's done, I connect my own account again but it asks for a Mobile Guard Code everytime when I want to sign in.In some occasions I've no access to my phone or it goes out of battery so I can not just connect to my own account on my own computer.I mean, come on that's mine, that's the thing I use more than my phone. Is there any way to get my computer known or something like that so it will not ask for Mobile Guard code everytime I try logging in?Thanks in advance

There is no way to bypass the authentication step when logging in. Print off some backup codes, that way you can log in when you don't have access to your phone.

Do not give those codes outs. Unlike the rolling codes generated by the app, the backup codes to not expire.

Theres a reason why Mobile Guard is there, to act as your secondary authentication method.

If you log out and if you log back in, of course you will need the password and then the mobile which provides the 4-digit code.

It seems like you answered without reading, I know why there's Mobile Guard, it helps a lot I'm aware of that but the thing is I want my computer to be sort of "bypassed".I've my computer password protected and there MUST be an option to disable it for known/trusted devices but I can't find it.Asking if there's the option, please read before answering
