How to restore games in a new installation of steam (quickly)
Hi,

Ideally, keep all the files with *.acf extension of the old installation, not just the game folders. These are found in "Steam\SteamApps" and have a name of "appmanifest_x.acf".

As simple as copying them in the new installation and they will appear ALL from the beginning.

If you are not lucky enough to be able to recover those files, this is the fastest way, after researching a lot.

1. Install the game from the Steam list in the destination where it was previously.

2. When Steam starts checking existing files, a file with extension *.acf is created. This file is the one that tells Steam the status of the game.

3. We sort by date the files of the route: "Steam\SteamApps\" and look for the file called "appmanifest.acf" more recent and open it in edit mode with the notepad (do not close it until the last step).

4. We canceled the installation on Steam to avoid wasting time.

5. We return to the file in the notepad and we simply have to change where "State Flags" is set to the value "4".

6. Save and restart Steam. Our game will appear in the library ready to play =)
