virus on steam app
u know, there r a lot of problems or useless stuff inside steam, but when steam app start to delete whatever it wants, destroy other programs, erase information on my pc (not connected to steam) its looks kinda wierd

if its gona be some other program - everyone tell its virus and instantly delete it
but if its steam stuff - its your own problem, no one care about it, even antivirus programs

only help steam can do - say: go to devs on forum
on forum u ll get instant ban if u start talking about it
problem solved

so, what the funk is going on? steam become more powerfull then me, my options, any antivirus program and get total control on my pc? also its great idea to sell viruses

also ther is Rules and guidelines here https://partner.steamgames.com/steamdirect
9. Applications that modify customer’s computers in unexpected or harmful ways, such as malware or viruses

but looks no one care about this

And what data or programs has steam supposedly deleted? How can you be so sure it’s steam and not malware?

It might help to actually describe your problem than rant about it.

Whoa, I've not yet heard of that happening before. Are you sure it was Steam, or an app/software you bought on Steam?

Far as I remember at most Steam takes the Steam folder itself with it if you uninstall it and potentially any other software someone installed under that folder. (well Galaxy does that, I think Steam had some mishaps with that as well in the past)

And that screenshot is proof of mass deletion how?

As stated in the comments of the artwork it’s not deleting anything but blocking things.

Also that’s the battle eye launcher yet you state H1Z1 is the virus. I don’t think you understand what that program is doing.

So us actually proud of mass deletions.

And you checked to make sure the files aren’t there? I’d check again as the screen shot say blocking not deleting. These are to different things.

Also check if the effected programs still run and work correctly.

Also even if it did delete the updater files that shouldn’t stop those programs from working.

When you say "workstation".... What exactly do you mean?

Do you not have this on YOUR own personal computer? Or are you trying to use it on, say, a school or work computer?

when u ll get older u have to work, and sometimes this work with computer
so i call my computer at work as workstation
is it legit?
actually its not mine, is belong to company...
what the different?
Zekiran Apr 5, 2018 @ 6:04am
If you're using your WORK computer to do personal things, then YES it's different.

Because your work *probably doesn't want you using their hardware for playing games*.

More than likely, your WORKPLACE has removed the games from the computer.
