Pre-paid card payment

Hi everyone,

I have a prepaid visa card that I want to use to purshase a game with. Will I get back my money back in the card itself ? In other words, if I buy a game and decide to get a refund, will I be able to use the refunded money to purshace something else (not on steam)?

For example, I buy a 50$ game with a 50$ prepaid visa card. I don't like the game so I get a refund. Steams gives me back my money. Then, I wish to go and buy clothes online with the same prepaid card. Is that possible or will Steam give me back money in my steam walet (only able to use the money to buy other games on Steam)? Any help i appreciated.

You will be issued a full refund of your purchase within a week of approval. You will receive the refund in Steam Wallet funds or through the same payment method you used to make the purchase. If, for any reason, Steam is unable to issue a refund via your initial payment method, your Steam Wallet will be credited the full amount. I would check to make sure that the pre-paid card will not have issues with a return to the card. Especially since many pre-paid cards will start charging you fees if the money stays in the account too long. That's why the two times I got pre-paid credit cards, I just bought wallet funds for the platform I planned to use it on. Then any refunds would go back in the wallet and I wouldn't have to risk any shenanigans with the pre-paid card company.

You can not generally refund to the Pre-paid cards. You should be able to refund to your wallet for future purchases.
