"Content File Locked", Cannot Reinstall or Launch Game??

So, I finally went to go play Dreamfall Chapters, since I'd installed it on my new computer in December and hadn't played it yet... It launched fine, I changed a setting (just turned on subtitles), signed up with the devs thing and went to connect Facebook to it to share progress, and the game immediately crashed when Chrome opened... and said dreamfallchapters.exe was now corrupted.

I verified game files and tried to launch it again, same error. It said it was missing one file and would redownload it. I restarted Steam and tried to launch it again. Same error.

I uninstalled the game and deleted any remaining files, and attempted to reinstall it-- only to now receive the message "CONTENT FILE LOCKED" and it says I cannot access the game or its files anymore and it's all corrupted and it won't reinstall properly or let me launch the game.

??? I've never seen this happen before. I didn't do anything lol. I verified game files twice more, cleared download cache, repaired the Steam library folder(s), restarted Steam, restarted my computer, tried reinstalling the game a second time-- same problem.

I have no idea what to do and I'm really disappointed because I love this game and was looking forward to playing it again but it won't stop giving me errors and won't launch.

Have you tried giving yourself full access to your Steam folder? If you had installed Steam in your Program Files (x86) folder it could cause permission errors.
