Do i get banned by using a steam api while playing an external game?

I've downloaded an external game, not on the steam library although it includes a steam api for multiplayer, do i get banned?

I wouldn't think so. All adding a non-steam game does is give you the overlay and let ya take Steam photos and stuff.

Yes. I can answer that one for ya mate. I knew the minute he mentioned steam.api, but here is my thing. If you like the game enough after trying it I would buy it and show some love to the developers. That's all I am gonna say about that one mates. lol
