Streaming a wired PC to a wireless laptop/steam link
I can't figure out how this is done, or if it's even possible. What steps do I need to take to stream a wired connection PC to a wireless laptop or steam link? Do they need to both be wired/wireless, or is it possible to stream from a wired PC to a wireless device?

Is there any reason why it shouldnt be possible? Just connect the host and the client tk the same router and youre good to go. Just make sure theyre in the same logical LAN, that is dont connect the client to, lets say, the guest WLAN.

Wired pc goes to modem/router
Wireless laptop/steam link goes to modem/router

Does matter how they both get to the router aslong as they both connect to it.

If you have a steam link, start it first and authorize it to acces your wireless network (wifi, in options before booting steamOS) It's not recommended to use wireless connection when streaming. (wired gives much better performance)

When you authed your steam link, go to your streaming pc and go to steam > settings > inhome streaming > and enable streaming. After, your steam link sees your streaming pc in your network, allowing you to connect and enter a pincode.

same thing with laptop.. add the laptopn on your streaming device as device in steam > settings> inhome streaming. You can login with the same account details.
