Steam Games (and Discord?) Not starting up, at all.

When I try to play a Steam game, it gives me a black screen, and I have to either alt tab and close it that way, or restart my computer entirely depending on the game. It does this for the following games (that I've tested):

*Dont Starve
*Dont Starve Together
*Castle Crashers
*Pit People
*Scribblenauts Unlimited

on a side note, ever since this started happening, my discord app wont load either, it's stuck on "starting".

To make sure it's not my computer or anything, I tried loading up a non-steam game (for example, Minecraft) and it worked just fine.


(Yes, I've tried restarting steam, my computer, my internet, etc etc.)
