Switch Pro ControlIler goes crazy on Windows 10
I'm having this really weird issue with the Switch Pro Controller.
I'm using the controller wired, and it works perfectly through Steam. However, when I use any non-steam game, the controller goes ballistic.

When looking at it from Windows 10 game controller settings, this is what it looks like when idle:

Keep in mind, this is the controller still works perfect from Steam. It's just using anything outside of Steam that's an issue. Adding non-steam games to Steam itself is a workable solution, but I would like to know why the controller does this in the first place and how to resolve it.

Bumping.
I should also mention this makes the controller impossible to calibrate under Windows because it believes buttons are being pressed.

I am having the exact same issue with the random button presses while wired for not steam games.

Did you manage to find a solution?

How does this work? I still get the random button presses in the game after adding it as a non steam game.

Unfortunately no, I'm still having this issue.

All the non-steam games I've tried, it seem to use the Steam Controller Inputs for the Pro Controller automatically for me. It's only when I run those games outside of Steam that I have the issue.

Bad xinput is bad. You may need drivers, Like how Ps3 controller won't work on windows 10 either.

You probably get good resurlts on steam because their controller driver actually works.

Try the solution here described by Austinp. It worked for me (uncheck nintendo pro controller support)
