WorldPainter start up problems.

This is copy of a forum thread i made a week ago on planetminecraft to get help but no one has replied, and I was counting on the steam community to lend me their knowledge to solve the strange predicament I'm in.


Recently I have gotten back into fabricating my own worlds for my servers I use with my friends so I started up WorldPainter.

Upon starting up the WP .exe start file it just gave me the logo in the middle of my screen as if it was about to start, so i waited and the logo vanished and the program seemed to crash. So I tried to start it several times, then i uninstalled it with the uninstaller and reinstalled it and with no luck tried to run the program from the desktop icon.

After that didn't work i noticed that on the world painter website i needed Java, so i went into my directory and saw I had three versions of java so i uninstalled all three and downloaded the most recent Java version (which was 10), after thinking i had solved the problem i tried to run WP again and it still seemed to not want to run.

I took another look at the website and saw I need Java version 8 not 10, so I went through the works and installed Java version 8u171 for windows x64, and Java version 8u172 for windows x64 to still attempt to run the program and see the logo and for it to seemingly crash

I don't know what else to do. I know my way around a computer but I've hit a wall with this!!!

Please help.....
