Is it safe???
Hi, I' ve got pretty weird situation here. Some random steam account sent me a friend request and wrote comment on my profile saying "accept pls". Well, obviously his point isn't making a new friend. I am curious what he want. I am just wondering can he steal my account or sth just because i will accept his friend request?

This whole stituation is very suspicious. I just wanna make sure, everything is alright. I know steam thieves know many tricks nowadays and u gotta be always alert.

Thanks for answering, have a great day!

There's nothing that urgent that random person will want to tell you that can't be said in the profile comments. Keep it there.

To talk you out of your money or inventory, either by straight out begging or smooth talking and tricks.

But in general its safe to assume that no one would create an add function in a client
that could allow taking an account by
using it.

First off, you should make your profile comments "friends only." Secondly, if this kid had some truly urgent matter he needed to discuss with you then he would be able to manage something more than just "accept pls."

It's a scam. You are being targeted because your Steam item inventory is public.

Your account can't be stolen by accepting a friend request. This looks like a scam attempt, nonetheless. If he can't say what he wants in your comments, block him. Don't trade. Don't give out any info about yourself, and don't click any links.

I'm sure that is the same person who sent a fake giveaway site and stole the accounts of many people now. This is happening just in these last minutes. Let people know that they don't have to open links (even of steam) in these hours.

There is no danger in accepting someone. The danger startzs when you start letting people you add influence your behavior towards things you would not otherwise have done.

I concur with the other replies that the guy might reasonably be trying to steal your knife.
