If you have an API key listed and you're not running a bot, then you should remove the API key.

Deauthorize all devices,
change password,
create new backup codes,
check for email and phone number in steam.

After you did this deauthorize all devices again, just to be sure the bot couldnt get in again.

They read all your chats and are on your account. Actually they could read all your chats that you made for a long time, retro-active.

So think carefully what you inserted in that site and in chat. All is burnt.

And follow the rule number 1 in the internet:
You NEVER log in to links that someone gives you.

Giving your credentials away to scam sites allows them to generate a backdoor API key used to control trades so if you haven't created one and there's one there, you should consider the account shadow-hijacked and do all the steps listed here https://forums.steamrep.com/pages/hijacking/ at the bottom whilst reading the whole article carefully.

If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.

Once you are sure you have regained control, you can start trading again. Please triple check any trades you make to be sure they are going to the correct account.

After you have secured the account, please edit your profile back to normal (if it was altered by the hijacker/scammer)

you should have received an email about the changes to your password/email. In that email is a link that allows you to lock the account, this will help reduce the damage that the hijacker can do.

dont know, you need to research it. get your account secured, and then start thinking about getting your computer protected. the next time you have an account compromised, it may be more valuable then a silly gaming account.

ok thx

81?
What was that?

I would look closely if it found one thing (not just something "possible unwanted").
And to be sure i would format and reinstall if it was 1 serious thing already. Especially when its 81.

Santivirus is a fake antivirus. If you did not install it, something else did.

Ok so the real response you need is to download a bootable anti-virus, put it on a USB stick and run it on boot. Then start in safe mode and make sure all the programs listed are removed.

I'm just here because my steam API key isn't working to tell me how many hackers have been in my games but hey, that's how you get rid of a bad bad time.

That isn't remotely what the api key does.

If your API hasn’t been compromised and you haven’t created one, it should be blank correct?
