NEED HELP WITH PING ISSUE! 100MB connection and still got 300+ ping
Hello to anyone that reads this. I've got a ping issue with a certain friend only. In most games that we play together we get 300+ ms in ping and when using Hamachi or evolve we get 10-30ms. Does anyone have an idea?

If servers are further away from you; you will get a higher ping in those.

Yes! I`m quite aware of that my friend. The problem is that this happens when playing games that has no servers of their own and are p2p based such as fighting games. Basically when we're connected to each other via steam in games like DBFZ, Skullgirls, 7 days to die(any game where he would host). In games with servers like CS GO, PUBG, DOTA I do get a great ping.

If your friend is hosting; he needs to properly configure his server and have GOOD internet.

The thing that we did in the past; was that we'd rent servers instead.

Dedicated hosting is bound to have issues - ranging from issues with port-forwarding and firewall.

That could work in the case of 7 days to die. But in games like DBFZ It's just not possible to host from another location. Do you have any sugestions with port-fowarding and firewall? My firewall is disabled.

Port-forwarding varies per router.

The host of the server has to sort out those issues.

It could all just boil down to the fact that his internet isn't as good as you'd think.

I just managed to fix it by port-fowarding. Use a couple of online tutorials :) Thanks a lot m8
You need at least 1 firewall between pc and internet.
