I cant upload a profile photo!

So, I made a new profile photo, and when I try to upload it it says: Please make sure this file is no larger than 3072x3072. my photo was only 500x500. I have tried changing the profile type from phn I think it was, to jpg, jpeg, and png. Still nothing works, can someone tell me what I have to do? Also I made it in Paint.net.

Your profile picture needs to be a .png and no larger then 184x184 in size. Resize your profile picture to that pixel size and then save it as a .png. It should upload just fine once you do that.

can you link the picture or upload it somewhere else if you still can't upload after following Coffinmaw's advice?
