Why do most game creators dont get a developer badge
I see that most game devs dont have a badge for developing a game ( develop is hard to spell... )

For example : concernedape ( stardew valley's only developer becaude he made the game on his own ) doesn't have the badge as well as some payday2 devs which is weird considering their admin status in the payday2 discussion forums.

Valve removed the Steamworks Developer badge last year after it was being abused.

It was removed due to impersonation attempts, it was being sold, and people made shovelware games just to obtain it.

Developers still get tagged as such in their game hubs next to their names in the posts.

I already thought of that too to be honest because of the cheap games there are in steam. But i rather wanted to ask 90% of the community mods and most steam users that are always here...

But wouldn't be better if there were certain criteria to aquire them?

No. Valve decided it was best to just remove them.
