How to force vsync on in Unity games?
I have some Unity games with no vsync option so they are forced to play at 6000+ FPS which kills my GPU. I can't get Nvidia 3D settings, NV Inspector, or RivaTuner to force vsync on these games so I'm entirely stuck.

When you adjust the graphic quality & environment quality settings in any of the Assassins creed titles, it controls multiple variables of the engine and edits these to reflect in a config file in your computer via C:/User/Documents/assassin's creed unity/ACU.ini Look for the Graphics section i am not sure but i don't own Unity but i am sure all the files are the same. However add this command..

VSync=0

add 1 to the value and it should be on VSync. You can always use the control panel to force the driver of the video card to run Vsync but i have no clue what card you are running but all video cards have a built in VSync option..

None of them did, but I ended up finding that RivaTuner worked.

Also, I wasn't talking about ACU, I was talking about Unity engine. Why would I own multiple Unity games and no GPU can make 6000 FPS in Unity. Most can't get a stable 60 FPS.

Hey
Can you help me what you did exactly with rivatuner?
Life is Strange: Before the storm uses this engine. At the first start everything was okay, run perfect, but the next day the screen started to lag, to stutter on fixed 60fps. Even worse on 30 actually. No fps limit was okay but my laptop actually crashed 2 times because the gpu was working at 100% for a long time (geforcec1050ti) overheating maybe? I use extra cooling fan but that was reaally hot air coming out. I am open minded for every solution. Nvidia control panel vsync didnt help at all. Window mode exclusive launch parameter neither.
Please tell me your solution.
This guide should work. I made it for anyone else who might need it last night. The only thing you need to do differently is to select your game's executable instead of ReHack's executable.

If you start any unity game and put the Quality setting on Fantastic. It already put Vsync on and limit the framerate at 60 on PC.

Game I was trying didn't have any quality settings other than Normal. That also doesn't apply to all Unity games. There are a few Unity games I have with Fantastic that start with 30 fps or 1200 fps.
Yes the programmer can alter the default pick on each settings, and hide or disable the configuration windows on start.

If the config windows is just hidden, it can be shown if you launch the game with SHIFT. (or OPTION on Mac)

It's crazy how common unity and vsync issues are, just search for "unity vsync" here. I'm looking for a fix for Black Masses because it has this problem and there's no indication when it will be added.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
