Targa file
Hello guys, could somebody please help me with saving targa file in photoshop?

Lets say I have an idea how to do part of a gun, so I make my idea and then save the file and close photoshop. Then I get another idea, so I open the targa file again, but all layers went automatically into background layer and no layers have been saved. Is there a way how to keep layers how I make them even when I close photoshop please?

Thank you for any comments.

no there are no layers in .tga files. you have to keep a save as photoshop project file to alter and edit

thank you for your answer :) so you just save your work as .psd and then just convert everything into smart object and import in the .tga file?
What exactly are you doing with the targa file? Because... I haven't even seen them in use for more than a decade. They're a very outdated picture file.
I am trying to create a gun skin, is there another option how to create skins then?
Wouldn't that depend on what game you're intending to put it in? Every game's systems will require different file types, and tga... I don't even know when the last game I played used them, and even then it was purely as a screenshot saving option.
I am trying to do some skins to Counter Strike Global Offensive, I found out on Google that they use this kind of format... Have you ever tried to make skins in this game?
I always wonder how people that can afford such expensive software, are that clueless at using it.
