Or maybe one in your town organiced a boycott of your production? I think I had years ago a similar thing, but not realy sure wether that was patrician.
It was wise to runn the turturial first lol.
Anyway I did quite playing already. Whatever I was spending in a city of my choice (London in this case) the one disaster was following by the other. Plague, invasion, famine, plague + famine and so on and so on. And this while London was a keypart of my strategy.
A famine once in a hour - I can live with that. But of you "solve" the famine with meal for the poor, it has to be done for a while!
And when a second key-city is getting the same... its destroying the fun to me.
