Slow Steam Download

So I've been having an issue in terms of my download speed on steam. I have been having 3MB/s and slower, but I dont know what the problem is. I've done everything in my control in order to fix it but I can't. I have decent internet speed (100mbps or ~14.4MB/s) so I don't understand the issue. My internet is working 100% fine and it's just Steam that's giving me an issue.

Try downloading anything else except ark and maybe payday 2 and it should be way better. Those games just are delivered in chunks that get unpacked, you can see your disk speed is always up.

Also speedtest is showing speed at mbit/s and steam is set to mbyte/s right?
100mbit/s = 12.5mbyte/s. you knew this already! sry.

Yeah but for some reason I usually get around 14.4MB/s. If you look at the screenshot I have then you can see my max at the time was 13.3MB/s. I'll check it out and see if it is just the game I am downloading rather than steam.

14.4 is still a good ammount faster than that speedtest showed you so you probably got lucky. I assume you pay for 100 down?

I got 100 down and my peak is about 12mbyte/s currently, it's close enough.

Started downloading Black Mesa (HL Remake) and I'm still seeing the same speeds as before.
Edit: So after about a minute or so, the speed went back to my usual for a solid 15 seconds then dropped back down to the slower speed again.

Which one of the speeds? How are the blue lines?

What if you let ark finish first?

By the way, do you have malwarebytes installed?

I do not but I scan my computer weekly and I havent ran into any virusus, malware, etc.

That's not why I asked, there was some problem with that program today. It leaked a bunch of rams and slowed PCs down.

Thankfully I don't have it cause that would be a nightmare. I have to run somewhere I will post if anything has changed or not.

Still having issues sadly. The only other thing it could be is that my internet bandwidth is being slowed down by a few relatives that are here at the moment, but the only thing that makes me think it's not is because I've had more people over than the 3 that are here right now.
