Boarderless, Fullscreen, Maximized?
Honestly I don't care about the technical stuff about PC, but I don't get the difference between these 3.

I did some benchmarking using Shadow of war and performance was in margin of error.

If your PC is hooked up to more than one monitor than boarderless will allow you to move your cursor over to the other monitor without having to pause/alt+tab. Although I think you may get one or two frames per second more in Fullscreen mode. Also some games wont allow you to play above 60Hz (60 frames per secend) or disable Vsync while in boarderless, but that is very rare.

It depends on the game, games from this decade generally work pretty well in fullscreen borderless. Otherwise traditional fullscreen works well.

Since you don't want the tech details:
If you alt-tab a lot, or multitask while gaming: use borderless or maximized.
If all you do is play the game: use fullscreen. It'll run (slightly) better in most games.
