How many forum bans do you have to get until you get permanently banned?

Hello everyone. I have a question to ask

About a month ago, I received a one day ban from TF2's forums. Yesterday, I received a three day ban from the forums

I have been wondering how many bans do you have to get until you get perma banned?

Depending on the moderator and the infraction.

If you already have two temporary bans, you should start thinking to stop what you doing otherwise it may end up in a permanent ban.

In my experience it's about 3 bans but it also depends on the moderator. If they take a personal grudge against you, then it's permaban when they feel like it, all rules are out the window.

Remember that you can log a ticket with Steam Support to appeal and hopefully overturn any permaban handed out by Steam community mods. The guys in Support are pretty chill, level headed, paid employees and so they show more respect and understanding.

most of the time it wont be a permanent ban unless its very severe like, hacking, cheating, threats or something along those lines.

I received a temporary, yet deserved ban, for not following rules. I was being a butthole and deserved the ban.

The answer you're looking for is "It depends"

Forum bans are not a mathematic subject. You can be warned more than once before a ban happens. You can get outright permanently banned out of the blue and your ban lenghts might not escalate from one to another.

As for your specific case, if you want an advice: You're probably adding them to your list too fast.

In that regard they're likely to add up. Try to keep the rules in mind in the future and make posts that are meaningful. (Don't bypass the swear filters, replying just reaction gifs and youtube links in likely to be seen as spam)
