Using PS4 Controller but getting xboxs configurations controls

When i plug in my ps4 controller and join any game i only see xbox icons and controls and its so annoying i dont know how to fix it lots of people are having the same issue and no one knows how to fix it and no i dont have any DS4 programs.

Most of the games don't have DS4 icons. Unfortunately, you've to face the fact Windows is still Microsoft OS and Windows games are done with Microsoft controllers in mind.

XYAB are pretty much standard. Only a few games use PS style prompts.

Takes a little time but once you get used to it you won't need to think you'll instinctively press the correct button. The hardest to get used to is seeing the X prompt as DS4 also has an X.

You'll have to get used to it or purchase a controller, DS style, with ABXY buttons. I kow a few people that
made some ABXY stickers and put them on their DS4 buttons.

another got an image of a DS4 controller and modified it to have XYAB buttons then printed it out and taped it to the bottom of his monitor until he got used to it.

Thing's indeed confusing, especially considering X360 got X letter and DS4 got cross symbol, so technically DS4 doesn't "also has an X", yet looks like it does.

On the games store page if it says full controller support then it will have ps inputs and xbox, if it says partial then you better believe it will only have xbox inputs.

False.

The Full Controller Support just implies you don't have to use the keyboard and mouse to execute i.e. menus at the beginning of the launch.

Meaning you can launch and access all of the menus fine on the controller.

Also, you should check PCGamingWiki for the games with DS4 prompts. Some of them while not native; have mods for them.
