Can't watch my friends playing

^^ Hey,

everytime I try to watch my friend while he is playing, the steam overlay/video just don't want to stop loading, no matter how many times I click on "pause" and "play" I already deleted some cookies but it did not change anything. My PC is a few months old and my internet connection works perfectly fine, my friend has had the same problems when he wanted to watch others playing. Can someone relate and tell me, how he was able fix it?

Are they Broadcasting. And you and friends can see Join Game next to the profile name of friend broadcasting?
Your friend may need to look at his settings,
Steam can be buggy at times you can connect other times you can't.

You shouldn't delete Steam cookies rather delete Steam Web browser cache and
Steam downloads cache.
How's your internet speed?

Steam Broadcasting requires a computer that's powerful enough to encode video in real time and a high-speed internet connection.
When a Steam Broadcast doesn't work, it's usually because of a computer or network hardware problem, Steam settings, or an issue with the Steam software itself.

Thank you very much for your reply, I don't exactly know the speed of my internet, but in games my ping is always between 45-80, it worked when I watched through the website and not client tho, the internet connection of my friend is not the best at the moment, I think this could be an issue, his settings and mine are correct, we checked them multiple times now.

Hi, I was having this issue - unable to watch broadcasts for any Game. (This has been an issue for ages, surprisingly there hasnt been any solutions given)
Today I only just discovered a fix -
when that Loading Screen pops up right-click the mouse & select the last option 'View Source'. a text Script will appear, but wait for about 5 sec & the broadcast should start! (has worked 4 times in row for me now -so I hope it works for you. LMK if it does or doesnt

Update: Darn it! The above Suggestion doesnt always work either- it def. worked 4x in a row, but AFTER I posted the comment I had a run of about 4x where it didnt work, then it worked again twice then back to NO-GO

Haha, that is so typical, could be me. :D
Thank you for your advice tho, I will try it later and let you know if it worked or not.
The only way I have found to watch my friend is with the browser version of steam, not client. Maybe this will help you too.It is just not as handy as client but I have no better idea.^^
