New to Fo4 on Pc, stuck at new game mirror

the title screen and intro load just fine and play without a hiccup, but then as soon as it loads the character creation screen where you look in the mirror and wipe it down, it cant pass it. i hear the wiping sound but the screen is white and slowly, and i mean SLOWLY chugs along. takes about 5 min to get the thing clear. can anyone help me? im not running mods yet, but did fiddle around with the fo4se and vortex and NMMs clients a bit before trying to open the game through steam. i noticed when i downloaded vortex, the fo4se in steam couldnt locate the game file, like vortex hijacked it. how do i fix the lag?

if validate game cant fix it wipe game folder and reinstall or ask in the Fallout4 if its that FO4 you ref to.

im running bootcamped. its having issues with my vega ship set. my system as more than enough ram to handle it. any suggestions?

Getting stuck at the mirror does seem to be a mod specific issue, and more people there will have experienced it.

but im not using mods. i reposted it there. the darn thing just cant see my AMD vega radeon for some reason

error could also be in the userdata files, some games like behesda settings is there.
