Use games without Steam!!!!!! I HATE STEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to remove steam and never see or hear of it again. Destroys my software. I want to use the games I have purchased without steam. I would even buy them again if I can avoid having to go through steam ever again.

I hate steam too. Every single time that I have to do an upgrade to a game or a mod or whatever, it's a full day of f'ing around with Steam. I really hate it. I try not to buy any games through Steam.

Valve is probably not going to remove Steam DRM from L4D2 since it's their game and Steam is their platform. Sets a bad example/precedent.

Valve is probably not going to remove Steam DRM from L4D2 since it's their game and Steam is their platform. Sets a bad example/precedent.

I was just making the point that Steam is DRM when games opt in for said DRM, which limits what a user wants. DRM is just garbage for this purpose, and sadly MANY developers decide to keep it.

That DRM-free list is no where near the current library Steam has to offer. I can't play Civ V without DRM, I can't play L4D2 without DRM, I can't play Black Ops 1 without DRM and so on. So much for user choice, eh?

That's why I get most of my newest games on GOG now.

Well that DRM free list is games that can work or can be made to work without Steam DRM. It's never going to be the whole library.

But yeah, if you have strong feelings about DRM, then GOG would be a better choice for you.
