Will a GTX 980 ti run Half-Life Alyx?

Just wondering if a gtx 980 ti sc will run half life alyx? The minimum requirement is a 1060. Is that because of technology that the 10 series has but 9 series doesn't? Like simultaneous multi projection? I assume valve probably would utilise it and any other tech that would help performance in vr. So am I dreaming thinking I'm gonna be all good with the 980 ti? Or will I scrape through with setting compromises? Cheers!

The 980ti is on par or slightly slower than the gtx 1070..so you should be fine.

980 Ti is considerably faster than a 1060 and sits between the 1070 and 1070 Ti.
