Steam is a garbage company that has a customer support system that avoids human to human communication at all costs
i lost access to my email and i cant recover it because i also forgot the password to the recovery email connected to that account, i also just recently changed phone companies and i was forced to get a new number. these are the 2 types of verifications that are availableto me. now below it has the option that says i do not have access to these, i click on them then it takes me to this forum where it asks me to put in the email i want to use and some information about the account to verify i am the actual owner. Then at the bottom theres a captcha, once i click on it just checks and doesnt bring up the picture matching thing that most captchas have. so after that page it sends a confirmation code to the email, i plug it in then hit send. what happens next? i either get a message saying sorry your trying this to often try again in a few hours, or sorry we couldnt verify the captcha. LIke what am i supposed to do? contact an actual human right? well guess what i cant, appparently steam doesnt want to work or something, its actually mindblowing how a company as big as steam is this garbage.

Note that steam did not remotely mind wipe you to make you forget your account and the password and the email.

thanks for proving my point that steam is a garbage company, your link litteraly takes me exactly to what im explaining in my post, your link takes me to a forum that says recovering a forggoten or lost account, then that form links to another forum with the only options being none of the situations that im actually in, why dont you take a look for yourself. going into any of those options will take me exactly to the same place, link me a email contact or someone that works for steam or some way to get in contact with an actual human being. oh wait you're not going to be able to do that..... you know why? because therer isnt any.

I saw a telephone number on my discover statement for Steam. Never actually have tried calling it because I haven’t needed to.

Every response from support I've gotten: "We aren't doing anything, and even if we did, we aren't telling you. We aren't explaining our actions, or the actions of the moderators. We will not reverse our decision." *Closes ticket*

Complete waste of time. Support is useless. I want someone on the phone. Someone that will listen, and can't just ignore me.

I've had 2 posts deleted this week. No reason. Other than mods just felt like it. I get a ban nearly every time I try to use the forums for anything.

And what has support done to help me? Nothing. They won't explain my rule violations. They won't give me a reason for my bans.

The phone number he's talking about is probably Valve's HQ. Thing is, you won't be listened there. They will tell you to contact the Steam Support and that's about it. Valve don't have ANY support by phone.

Also, if you have a question about your ban or want to appeal it, just reply to the ban message. Tbh, general rule is: People who complain about moderation are usually people who need it the most.

I suggest you read the rules and don't call users names or be as rude as you were.

I saw the last post that was deleted. Not nice.

Think about what you are going to post and if it is not constructive, on topic or nice, don't post it.

The captcha is literally just recaptcha from Google. Unless you're adblocking google if you cant answer the captcha that's pretty much on yoru end. Use a browser without adblocking or fix your system. Your inablity to run Google's captcha is not a Steam problem.

Your inability to prove ownership on the account is not a steam problem its a user problem.

Again steam did not magically reset your email password, make you lose your phone, and reset your phone number, dind't make you save backup steamguard codes, and didn't make your computer die on Google's recaptcha.

Lol try this rage with your bank when you lose your bank account information. Oh and Steam also secures your bank info as part of your account. Think of it as keeping your account details safe from would be fake profiles posing as you..

Try it in a different browser and/or private browsing/incognito mode.
