Trying to Install games but it keeps on stop downloading

Been having this problem for a while. I've changed regions, refreshed 2 of my steam libraries, & cleared the download cache. I'm honestly getting frustrated & need some help

How long does it stop downloading for, when games download often times it also has to unpack them then continue.

it stops from 10 seconds to like a minute maybe.

Try going into the DLC section and unchecking everything.

Common issue lately, I just spent an hour waiting for Hunter: call of the wild to: unpack, install, download, and subsequently install again, and that's just for a general update, with a good connection. Steam seems to be doing their level best to drive people to Epic and GOG.

That was what i was referring to, unchecking all DLCs usually solved this. Nvm.

Most of the games I'm installing are one that doesn't have one. I am installing Far Cry 4 that does have DLC but unfortunately, it didn't work at all

agree with VaLiuM disabling the DLC download usually solves it.
But you may have noticed Steam internet drops no internet. I check this a lot now as my country has low load and then nothing a few times a day
