Steam hardware order cancellation before shipping
I ordered the Valve Index yesterday (Nov.21st) and decided that I no longer wanted it so I created a ticket this early morning to cancel the order. It's been 11 hrs and there's still no reply and the status has changed from "processing" to "shipping soon". And I doubt the customer support can stop the shipment now.


From steam's hardware policy, it clearly states that

"You can modify or cancel shipment within 24 hours of placing your order. After 24 hours has passed, your order is allocated for shipment and can no longer be changed, cancelled, or recalled either by you or by our Hardware Support team."

Isn't this policy a joke if the customer support cannot process the inquiry within a reasonable amount of time? There is not even a phone number that customers can call.

Don't fret too much. They should be able to remedy it. Just be patient.

I eventually returned the index and it took a long time to get my refund.
