Family Sharing Help

Whenever I try to play a family shared game, i get "this library is not currently available for family sharing."

I have, as following
Restarted my computer
gone to the main account that i share from and removed and re-added my account
and i tried to look it up to see what was happening and nobody else has had this issue

Is someone else already using the library? How many people is he sharing with? Only one at a time can access it. Also its game dependent, not all can be shared.

That means the owner or another sharee of the library is currently using it. Only one user can use a library at any given time.

Does the person sharing games with you share with *other people* besides you?
Like share with someone *not in your house*?
Just because you can see they (the owner of the games) isn't playing any game... doesn't mean some 3rd or 4th person they are sharing their games with isn't playing one.

there are only 2 people who have it shared, me and my brother, none of us, even the sharing computer. are not on a sharing game

But is he using his library at all?

Family Sharing limits users to 1 full library at a time.

no, he isn't even online. all people who are shared are completely offline

Positive? Because offline can also mean not signed into the friends list. That's what updates the last online status.

Its not saying the Shared Library is in use, which it isn't so i should be able to play the games

Maybe try actually completely shutting down the other computers? and then try while your computer is literally the only one turned on?

Ah, Thank you for your Help! I am now able to use the games. might be because i completely restarted my computer, and turned the other one off

My brother uses a different computer and I use my own. We share a few games but he was playing Among Us and then I tried playing Garry's Mod which I bought on his account, since I didn't have an account then. Every game from his account said, "This library is not currently available for family sharing" I think when he plays on his account it doesn't let me play games shared from his account, and when he stops playing I can play the games.

Correct. Only 1 person can play the library that is being shared at 1 time, unless the person sharing goes into offline mode.
