steam won't load anything
my steam app doesn't load anything. Store, library, community, account tab, all do not load and just give me a blank screen. i can only see the top ribbon of tabs and bottom ribbon that includes the friends and chat button. i tried clearing web cache but didn't work. it is connecting to the internet as i was able to add a steam game via activation key (with button in the lower ribbon) and it downloaded. i can launch games with the "games" button on the top ribbon but its inconvenient and i want access to the workshop and other things but nothing loads (the downloads page's UI is the only thing that loads in the steam app as i saw the progress bar of game being downloaded)
how can i fix this problem?

exit steam , check task manager for hang steam, then try restart , that work for me after a steam update crash it and it fix itself after 2-3 tries, i bet steam update server was busy if alot of people got same bug.

wifi and vpn, also worst connection issue

wifi = possible low connection possibilities
vpn = you still need to go through network to get to location and then get DATA and back = bottleneck ( only skilled people use this or business solution ) for gameing bad solution more jump point and lag. ( latency per jump)

Yeah, mine has been acting up too, but only happens when I quit a game... blank screens, friends list won't appear either and there is likely more!

Steam>Settings>Interface>Scale text and icons to match monitor settings, Turn the option OFF and restart steam.

* Open your Registry Editor (Windows > Run > RegEdit)
* Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
* Find the entry named Steam and add the parameters:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -silent -nochatui -nofriendsui

another fix is to update to BETA(which usually solves the problem)

this worked for me, but the resolution of the app ended up being WAAAAAAY to granular with small text, so I went back and enabled the option and restarted and it seems to still be working.

Opt-in The Beta client also fixes the issue.

Hey thanks a bunch man, that worked! I had to reinstall windows and when I downloaded steam it was like "flashing" and almost looked like it was reconnecting, and your solution solved it, tyvm!!

I'm having the exact same issue but none of these options are working, even updating to beta.
