Controller right joystick problem

so i got a controller, it works fine but one thing, right joystick witch you use to look around only moves to right and left sides i cant move up down or diagonal. on its driver program detects its moving up down etc, but on games or just windows it only works to left and right...

i fixed it by going into steam controller settings then define layout and clicked on right y axis with enter and movin my right joystick up :))) tok me 2 days to figurite out :D
