But you could try exiting Steam using Steam top left corner exit.
Also I haven't used the Beta did you opt in to beta could be a problem there so I cant add anything else to that. If you're using the Beta ask in that discussion.

And it did come back, after some time, I had forgotten about this topic until now.
It's a bug, and I don't know what it's tied to, I don't think anyone knows, and it just returned back to normal after days of restarting and going about my business as normal, with no sign of what caused it to vanish in the first place or just come back like nothing was wrong.
Click on the Home at the top of the library games list.
Mine is intact and currently showing news from this week.
Other than that I have no idea mine is working fine shows todays updates but I also exit Steam proper everyday not just close it down.
Maybe deleting web cache and steam downloads cache not cookies log in again.
