SteamVR not pairing with GearVR controller
I feel like I'm at a loss here.

Specs:

Windows 10 64bit
64GB RAM
Intel I9-9900k 8-core
GeForce 970ti
Samsung S8+
2017 Samsung GearVR

The GearVR controller works within the regular Oculus app; so it's not broken.

In SteamVR when I go to Settings->Bluetooth.. it simply says "Bluetooth not available" with a red X. Not sure if that's affecting this or what, but Bluetooth on this machine definitely works. I have various things that successfully connect; like headphones.

I've disconnected them and that doesn't matter.

I've restarted all devices multiple times to no avail.

When I go to SteamVR -> Devices -> Pair Controller, it's immediately a "SteamVR is unable to find any hardware to pair controllers to. Make sure your headset is connected."

----

What's going on? I'm trying to use RiftCat 2.0 + SteamVR + Samsung GearVR but this GearVR controller just can't be found.

Should this controller be showing up in the "Pairable devices" of SteamVR? Should it be connected to my phone's Bluetooth? Should it be connected to my computer's Bluetooth? Should my Bluetooth settings screen in SteamVR Settings be showing something other than "Bluetooth not available" ?

What should I try?

I have this exact problem and I don't know how to resolve this either, have you figured anything out in 4 years?
