How long do I wait to remove trade hold after transfering my steam authenticator to another phone?
I might be getting a new phone sometime sooner and I know I can transfer my Steam Authenticator. However, in the guide that they give, (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8625-wrah-9030#transfer) it states "After transferring the authenticator, any new trades or market listings will be held for a couple of days to protect your items in case your authenticator is ever transferred by a malicious person. "
My question is How long are "a couple of days" and is how long do i need to wait with the new device so i can get rid of that trade hold.

If you transfer it by confirming the transfer on your old device, the hold will last 48 hours. If you remove it from your old phone and then register your new one, it will count as a reset and you'll be at 15 days holds.

In both cases, the holds will be in effect for 7 days. All trades and market actions afterwards will work instantly again.

This, though presumably... if the authenticator doesn't realise that it's been transferred...

I'm pretty sure that the holds didn't kick in for me and I set up my new phone by restoring from a backup image of my old one. Everything gets copied over - a far easier setup method.
