During the steam Cozy Cottage Christmas event a friend told me it was possible to earn free games by reaching different badge levels. I can understand how people may want to get backgrounds or emotes and such but I'm looking to unlock new games. Is it possible to unlock games for free during this event?

From levelling up I'm pretty sure you get discounted games

Valve does, but they won't tell. As no one can have gotten that level yet, you have to wait, just like everyone else.

Last years max badge was 500xp. It'll likely be the same again this year. Bronze 100xp, Silver (+100) 200xp and then Gold (+300) 500xp
