Download speed capped at 12mbps

Hello I have come to ask and get help about my internet download speed, I had a wifi dongle to give my PC wifi and when i download a game it caps at 12mbps, I have just got an ethernet cable hoping my wifi download speed will increase on Steam, I did a speed test and my download speed is around 90 to 110 mbps, on xbox i got 80+mbps on download speed, I was hoping my ethernet will increase the speed on steam but it is still 12mbps, What could it be?

80mbps is 10MB/s, sounds like you're getting exactly what you should be. around 100mbps.

96 mb/s = 12 MB/s. Steam defaults to MB/s.

Steam > Settings > Downloads >>> Display download rates in bits per second

Xbox uses Megabit, Steam uses Megabyte
8 Bit = 1 Byte
Hotsauce already did the math for you and it adds up.

I'm getting 25mb/s on steam itself so it's slower over wifi somehow...
