steam an error occurred while updating manifest unavailable
Okay i been trying to fix that problem for 7 hours now all my games cannot update

So heres what i did:
- Change my download location to all the serves (i mean ALL OF THEM)
- Reset my router 7 times also clear download cache for idk how many times now
- Reinstall steam (also some games but i back them all already) what i get instead of manifest is this now "steam an error occurred while installing no internet connection" with is bullsh*t cause if I didnt have internet i wouldn't be able to post this in the 1st place
- Cannot play single player games that doesnt have "update required" still wont open cause of the manifest (the only way i could play is through offline mode)
- It cant be my net cause this didn't happen 15 hours ago

So when i do try to update it would just not update and que the next one (which wont update) and just cycles the updates from bottom to top not even letting me play any game (already turn off my firewall and antivirus)

Now Im lost IDK what to do not sure if the problem is from my end or valves anyone else encountered this now?

I part of me thinks its because of Steamworks Common Redistributables cause it seems to be the only thing off when updating games

how did you manually delete it?, thanks!

That does not solve the issue. Completely unrelated to the problem.

does this issue already have a solution?, still experiencing this issue, I cant download any game
when i download from other computer, it's ok, but if I download on my personal computer, this thing happens.
I already Reformatted my pc but nothing happens, same issue
Too those who still cant download or update even after a reformat try using psiphon3 a free vpn and then close your steam, then activate psiphon3 (choose fastest location) the open steam and you should be able to update or download again it might be a bit slower than your regular download/update but is better than nothing :3

I already know the fix and it works for me, I copied the whole Steam folder from other pc that is working then I deleted the Steam on my pc which is the steam is broken then paste the copied Steam Folder and then try to download a game again:steamhappy:
This was happening to me and I tried everything any troubleshooting guide listed to try. I ended up switching my AnitVirus software from AVG to Kaspersky. In the process or removing AVG I realized that it wasn't uninstalling everything, I continued to have a ToolbarUpdater service running and I could not uninstall AVG Web Tuneup. I followed the steps here: https://www.infopackets.com/news/10012/how-fix-cant-uninstall-avg-web-tuneup-wont-remove and still had to do some extra service and registry cleanup to fully remove everything AVG. Once I finally had it all cleaned out my downloads starting working again!

I no longer trust or would recommend anyone use AVG...

NOTE: I have made sure to add exceptions for Steam to my Kaspersky and Windows Firewall applications.

I like the archived KB article on "Programs that may interfere with Steam..."

Yep. I had a horrible time trying to figure out how to fix this and couldn't find anything anywhere that suggested something I had not already tried that didn't work. So I wanted to make sure if someone else came along later with a Google search they'd find something that worked that might end up helping them too. Sorry (not sorry) if that's annoying.

Here's my experience for fixing it so far for every small updates, the same error happens.

-Turn off Windows Firewall
-Change Download regions to (UK London or Manchester)
-It automatically updates then..

I'm in SEA

THIS WORKS
thank you very much :steamhappy:

sorry to necro this, I've been stuck with this for 2 days and I don't want anyone to experience the same hell of not being able to play games.
