Report a translation problem
So, if you have CSS, make sure it's fully and properly installed and updated, and run it once (if you don't already play it), and run your other Source engine games.
MOST textures, maps, models, and fx will be from episode 2 and css, so if you do not own the half life 2 episodes, you'll need to do that. Also, Team Fortress 2, which is FREE, install that, because the rest are often from it.
Try adjusting your ingame detail levels, which may prevent some of that from happening. Shaders, etc.

most of shiny objects will be start to disable glow
this is was only requied for exteremly glowing objects. im not sure about this one
same in even flat_grass
