Ssd disappears
My 2nd hard drive to where Steam is installed, disappears when installing steam games, or playing them. This is a new issue that I haven't encountered before. What is causing this? I tried 3 ssd, same. This started like month ago. Even on fresh pc install it happens.

Tip: Keeping Steam & the games together avoids this issue alltogether.

Before installing steam games on your D: drive. I might suggest going to your Disk Management option in windows. This can be found in the search bar. Make sure the drive is showing up and the status is healthy. I've had issues before where the drive wasn't showing up in windows and all i had to do was run disk management and format the secondary drive.

That's the exact opposite of what I just said. Emphasis on "together" while you're read "separated".

When you say your ssd is disappearing, do you mean they drive is not showing up in Windows explorer?

Try this.... In the windows search bar type in 'disk management'. Look to see if the drive is listed

Google this:" how to setup a new ssd Windows 10"

If the drive is still not showing up, check your BIOS and make sure it's being recognized, if its not then try connecting the ssd to a different SATA port.

I have the exact same problem now, when finishing my cs2 sessions, one of my SSD disappear completely until the reboot of the computer. It's even not anymore in Device Management or the explorer... Weird but happy it comes back after a reboot.
