Does streaming games onto smart TVs from pc require a strong specs from pc?
So i've been wanting to stream games onto my smart tv because i have a very bad pc which is not suited for gaming. If i stream games onto my smart tv does the graphics rely on that of my computer or the tv handles everything? does i need to plug in something such as steam link or simply downloading steam link app onto smart tv is enough? pls help everyone:(

Your TV is worse than your bad PC. Streaming games from your PC means your PC handles everything.

Come November (if you're in one of the supporting countries). Google will start a service called Stadia, which will stream to your TV from their computers.

What do you mean with streaming to your TV?

You either connect the TV physically to your graphics card with a HDMI cable in which case the PC handles everything or you do it through Wifi in which the PC does everything aswell. Its not like that your TV can play the games from your PC. It only display the pciture according the data which is send from the PC what ever way you connect it.

The work is done using your PC just like if it was connecting to a monitor. Using a physical Steam link or the link app means your PC will actually be doing slightly more work. It needs to encode the data before it is transmitted to the link device/app for the TV to display. Also bare in mind there will be added latency and may need new input devices depending on the link/app/tv
