Sub Account

Hi does anyone know if I can create a sub-account for my son. He is playing games on my account which I do not necessarily want to be linked to

Create a separate Steam account and use family sharing. Not all games are available for family sharing though and one account will have to be offline if you want to play games simultaneously.

Keep in mind, if he cheats on your shared game, repercussions still come back to your account as well.

That said, from the sound of it he might simply be playing embarrassing stuff you'd rather not be associated with so in that case his own account would be a good solution xD

In the long run, having separate account for each person avoids fights over shared games. Once a game is registered to an account, it is permanent!

Create a new account for your son and let him purchase his own games
