Steam Artwork insane bug/glitch
Dear Community

Before reading, please check the glitch in my profile: https://steamcommunity.com/id/gabritchi

The first day i got this artwork, everything was fine, but suddenly after a few weeks i got this weird bug, during the animation it has black dots all over it. To fix it, i would re-upload the artwork and everything would be good. Yesterday i did the same to fix it, and guess what, the glitch stayed the same after i re-upload it. The original gif is working, and i also tried to compress the gif to see if it was due the max 8mbs that steam has.

Thank you for reading, and i hope someone can help me out.

Aah! Okay. This might be a clue.
So I have two host-urls here. One of which shows a broken gif, whereas the other shows it proper:
Broken:
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/775109307082061217/2BA905D1A7419903CB611EFBC264284F7A69E117/?imw=506&&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false
Without the "&impolicy=Letterbox" the link works and gif is not "broken"
...which to me sounds like flags for "worst-case-scenario: use letterbox format if the dimensions on an artwork image does not fit the showcase".
So is it therefore possible that the gif in question is using improper dimensions that do not fit the showcase? Down to maybe one or two pixels too wide or too high?

Any reason why you reposted this?

1. What are you using to render your gif?
2. Did you forget to set it to dispose last frame when moving to the next frame, or did you left it auto, or on by default? Because you're suppose to ensure it dispose the last frame when moving to the next frame, or else you get what you have now.

It has dispose last frame when moving to the next frame.

Are you using GIMP, Photoshop CC, or etc???
I don't think you understood what I meant, as in your large left side has an issue either you didn't select all the frame to ensure to be set the same for dispose.

Please note that trying to reopen the finish render gif can not be fixed, you have to open your saved work you had before, view it, ensure there's no issues, and ensure all set to dispose as well for all frames, before importing the gif.

Kinda looks like a Steam issue because if you click open the window to open the artwork, the black dots don't appear.

Same problem occurs when opening https://steamcommunity.com/id/gabritchi in Chrome, evidently. As well as Microsoft Edge and IE.
However it does NOT occur when viewing the artwork separately from https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1901289604
I suspect that it could be something within the webpage code that is affecting the gif somehow. Whether it be the captivating dimensions of the artwork showcase or something else.

Never mind. My aforementioned leads turned up cold, really, so there's not much to go on other than that the artwork showcase does not display it properly.

Well, it could also be a problem with the host, actually.
Reaching the gif from where it is hosted yields the same problem. Maybe it was just uploaded with some misinformation because of how massive it is, I'unno.
It's obviously a bummer, but I'd love for someone to reach out with some file-sizes your way just to compare a bit. Shame since it is a beautiful gif though.

What a shame.... i hope this gets fixed as soon has possible, i will try to reach to steam support to see if they can help me!

Now, there are some notable differences in the urls themselves that might hint at a possible cause of the problem(?). And I assume the differences are in fact the elements that adhere to the artwork showcase frame. Thereby I suspect that it is in fact the showcase that is at fault here.
