steam.exe killing lan card

for a few days i m trying to find why my computer so laggy, randomly lan drivers crush and internet turns off, when i m trying to run it again - useless, restart lan drivers - useless, restart lan card - useless, log off and log on - useless, something killing whole lan card

only full restart fix for a while...

i make a full check of my pc, 2 antiviruses, cleaner, and other possible soft to clean up - nothing helps

finaly i deside to reinstall windows (my prev windows was since win7 betatest till yesterday).
reinstall windows and looks like fine, till i install steam and start to download librarry again.
and this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem appears again. i try to check it few times again - yes, computer works well, till i run steam

what actually fluck ?

Have you gone into your steam > settings > library and turned off the options that suck down bandwidth yet?

i use default settings, i dont care about internet speed, i have 50mbps

if the lan driver is crashing its most likely the wrong driver

go to the mobo/chipset mfg site and get the correct driver
windows rarely grabs the correct or latest driver

i use same driver since win 7 appears (since 2009, maybe earlyer, coz i use it from betatst) !!!!!!!!!!! yestarday i reinstall windows.
upd: autoupdates works well - so i have latest one

so what problem can appear during this 10 years that finaly crush lan? why all this 10 year period was everything ok?

That's literally why this problem exists for you, dude. Windows 7 has been updating all but the last 1 of those years, you realize that right? Just you "being on since beta" means nothing if you don't actively update the program.

well as above post point out , welcome to update drivers and bios and OS .
even that win7,8 is almost outdate they singing on last song.

go to the oem or mobo site, and get the latest mobo chipset, lan/audio/usb ect.. drivers
and to the gpu mfg (amd/intel/nvidia) for the latest driver

when i have interest for computer stuff i update everything, but drives for my pc stuff dont have updates much longer, i even have latest bios when it updates. so, there is no reason try to find something new
i have all windows updates and turned on autoupdate

so, actually i have latest drivers

if its driver problem - i just check on oficial website - no need to update - same version
and yes, i have same problem after reinstall windows

all this asus updates and windows updaters works well, dont warry about it

Clean install Win10 64bit 1903, do updates, reboot and then install all your drivers. Also will need DirectX Redist June 2010, all the latest Visual C Runtimes for 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2017, both x86 and x64 of each. Along with NET/ASP Frameworks.

What else are you going to use then? Maybe try a Linux distro.

Likely you have a particular bad piece of VPN software installed which is know to be so poorly written as to cause normal Windows API networking calls to crash the stack

Or it’s that awful “killer network card” software which is also written by monkeys
