avatar ban?

hi guys has any 1 here ever recieved a 1 week ban for using a steam default avatar? i had the goat bomb avatar from the game toto temple deluxe wich was a default that u can choose from in the steam default games avatar!

i kinda feel scared to use any steam avatars now i just dont understand why get banned for a pic they provided il upload a pic of what my avatar looked like and would like people thoughts :)

I'd say you should try and flag this thread to a mod, and have someone look into it manually. That doesn't seem fair in anyway, hope you get it back.

Steam support are pretty pig headed and never overturn bans. I was banned from a community hub for calling out a scam game. The dev banned me and deleted my post.

Support was like, even though you haven't broken Steam's rules and we've removed the game for being a scam, we can't remove the ban from your record because that hub may have a different rules that you did break.

they sure are! although i did get a wide ban and contacted steam support who reversed the ban and appoligised and said it was an automated ban but in my case it was wrongfully put i always thought bans were human controlled but apparently not they also have software bans as well

If you claim you were banned because of the sheep avatar, then why don't you include a screenshot of that specific ban message, instead of cropping out your support requests. I could be wrong but I think it's because you know that you were banned for something else.

i see heaps of people with insanly bad names they get reseted by steam to like heaps of numbers but there avatars certainly do not change!!!! but in my case my avatar was somehow bad and i was sharing my expiernce with fellow steam users on what the picture was and how silly steam moderators are and how power abusing they are and how they break there own rules and guidlines

Well, you're banned from the Doom gamehub for one. I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't the only gamehub. Now, you're claiming that both your avatar and username were banned. If you want people to take your complaints seriously then why do people have to squeeze this information out of you which you are intentionally hiding these details and misrepresenting your situation? Why not show the support ticket which stated your avatar was banned because it was inappropriate?

I got two permabans in the lifetime of my account. One they upheld, the other they reversed. The one they reversed was likely because they had banned the developer in question.

The message you posted there doesn't include an image of the avatar that you claim was removed. Given the fact that you've previously used terrorist organizations as your username, I wouldn't put it past you to upload something else as your avatar.

You posted a screenshot of this harmless sheep avatar which was dated the 30th of March and was a support ticket about a discussion ban not an avatar ban. Then you posted a screenshot of an avatar ban that was dated earlier today with no image of the banned avatar. Since you've changed your username numerous times since March, it would stand to reason that you may have also changed your avatar.

You want everyone to be outraged for you, but you're leaving out details and information because it's detrimental to your argument and overall providing incomplete information.

we are getting oftopic now been mislead by a modderator himself! the point of this topic guys was just to share my thoughts and expierences with steam and getting banned for no reason or non logical reason from steam moderators! the fact is i got a 1 week avatar ban for using a steam default game pic and the fact is if its not appropriat then why is steam even choosing it as a default in the first place! the system steam have in place is broken and my conclusion is modderators can and have been doin as they please and banning and taking sides in game forums is also happening and unfortunatly there is nothing we can do about it our help messages goes unnotices and we certainly are been harrased and bullied i am very very dissapointed with steam and hopefully the sort out there bad modderators that abuse there power accordingly

some of us know more about your history than you let on. given the combination of issues you're experiencing right now in connection with the Doom (2016) gamehub and your history within it, there is most likely more to the story than you are letting on.

I will say that I found the avatar comical but apparently someone else felt otherwise. perhaps it was in combination with the username you had at the time that caused the moderation to take place. in any event, I'm sure you'll find a replacement avatar easily enough.
